Meet Sara Abrahamsson
PEOPLE AT MATTING
Competitive by nature, a lover of the outdoors, and with 13 years of experience in B2B sales. Our new colleague and Account Manager Sara Abrahamsson looks forward to building strong relationships and exploring new opportunities together with Matting’s resellers and customers.
Who are you and what have you done in the past?
I am a positive and very competitive person who loves challenges and, above all, people. My working career began at Ringhals as a restaurant assistant, and that was probably where my interest in service was awakened. I have also had a few stints in Måløy in Norway, where I cleaned fish. A bit of a different experience! After that, I completed the Retail Management program at university, and since then I have in one way or another worked with entrance solutions, the last 13 years in sales within B2B.
What do you enjoy doing most when you’re not working?
My family comes first, and I love spending time with my friends. I simply enjoy having people around me. I also love being outdoors and spending time in the woods and nature, preferably with my dogs, and I enjoy staying active and working out. I’m also a former horse girl, so animals have always been a big part of my life. And when mushroom season comes around, you’ll often find me in the woods hunting for chanterelles!

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
I’m really looking forward to becoming part of Matting and getting to know the company, our product range and all the people. Most of all, I’m excited to get out there, build strong relationships with our resellers and work together with them to find new opportunities to grow their business and help their customers find great solutions. I’m really excited to get started!
What impression would you like to leave after visiting a customer?
I want customers to feel that they can trust me and that I have the knowledge and commitment to help them find the right solution. That I listen, see the bigger picture, and make it easy to find a good solution. I want them to leave thinking: “We call Sara. She’ll help us and sort it out.” And of course, I also hope they think I’m a nice person to work with!
Which product or solution in Matting’s range are you most curious about?
I’m actually not most curious about any one particular product. It’s the variety and the bigger picture that appeal to me. Matting has such a broad product range, which gives us great opportunities to combine different products and create complete solutions for our customers. I have many years of experience with entrance matting, so that’s an area I know well, but now I suddenly have a much bigger toolbox to work with. I’m really looking forward to that!
How do you incorporate movement and variety into your workday?
As a field sales representative, I spend quite a few hours on the road, so I try to take every opportunity to get moving, whether it’s a walk at lunchtime or between meetings. And now that I work at Matting, I naturally spend a lot more time standing at my desk too. With so many great standing mats to choose from, I really have no excuses anymore!

COFFEE OR TEA?
Coffee, definitely! Tea has never really been my thing.
CAT OR DOG?
Hard to choose! I have two dogs at home right now, so I guess dogs win by a nose. But I’ve had several cats over the years, and I’m very fond of them too.
EARLY MORNING OR LATE EVENING?
Late evening, without a doubt! I’m a real night owl and can easily stay up way too late.
PHONE CALL OR EMAIL?
Actually, I prefer meeting in person over both. That’s where I believe you build the best relationships. But if I have to choose between a phone call and an email, I’d choose email. That way, the recipient can read and reply when it suits them, rather than me interrupting them in the middle of something.
STAND OR SIT?
Stand! Especially now that I have access to some really great standing mats. It would almost be wrong to answer anything else!
